Rosemary Powell.

For those looking to manage life's many challenges, manage their emotions, or just get a better night's sleep, Rosemary Powell is here to help.

Powell recently moved her hypnotherapy practice from Arizona to Tehachapi where she is helping clients reach their goals. Located just across from Tehachapi City Hall, at 104-B S. Robinson St., Joyful Life Hypnotherapy is where Powell assists her clients, in-person and virtually, with everything from improving self-esteem to enriching their relationships, accelerated healing, pain control, quitting smoking, weight loss, preparing for surgery, achieving business goals, public speaking and reclaiming one's personal power. Powell's clients say her heart is full of empathy and compassion, which is what drives her to help others through hypnotherapy.

Powell has been a Registered Nurse for over 40 years including over 11 years as an elementary school nurse and 16 years as a high school nurse. She has served clients ages 8 to 96 (her oldest to date). Her nursing experience includes home health, hospice, clinical nurse educator, medical-surgical, pediatrics and tele-health. She holds a Master's Degree in Education Counseling and 60 additional post-graduate hours. She is Board Certified by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners and also certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Joyful Life Hypnotherapy is also accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). She is also privileged to advertise in Psychology Today, which requires hypnotherapists to have extensive hours of training and certification.

Powell assists her clients in-person and virtually. (Yes, hypnotherapy can be successfully done virtually.)

In schools she used relaxation tools to help students and staff deal with panic attacks, nightmares, sleep issues, physical and mental abuse, alcohol and substance abuse, family issues and grief and loss issues.

With hypnotherapy, Powell uses universally accepted self-discovery methods during a deeply relaxed state of mind and frees the client from the fear-based programming and assumed limitations to reveal their natural state of love, joy and abundance. Hypnosis is approved for "Adjunct Medical Support" in relation to emotions related to health challenges. The immune system and all body systems function optimally when we are in a relaxed state of mind.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP also utilizes the relaxed state of mind. It is a powerful method to transform old limiting beliefs and clear traumatic memories. It can also improve motivation, self-esteem and relationships.

"Our subconscious mind is so powerful. Hypnotherapy helps us clear limiting beliefs, heal old fears and clear unhealthy relationship patterns," Powell said.

Powell is often sought out as a public speaker.

"With my practice as a hypnotherapist and having used these tools for over 30 years, I have often spoken at Rotary clubs, women's organizations, youth groups, Real Estate groups, student nurses, senior centers and veteran's groups," said Powell. (She offers discounts to veterans for sessions). She has also given workshops on: " Relieving Stress," "Pain Control," "Accelerated Learning and Test Taking," and "Fear of Public Speaking" among many other topics. The possibilities are endless.
