Councilwoman Christina Scrivner submitted her resignation from the Tehachapi City Council on Dec. 5. On Nov. 8, Scrivner was elected as the East Kern County representative to the Kern Community College District. She has represented City Council District 2 since March 2020, first as an appointee and then elected to the position in November 2020. The Tehachapi City Council meets on the first and third Monday of the month at 6 p.m. They are currently meeting at the Police Department Community Room, 220 W. C St.
