Season 3, Episode 12 – TehachaPod gets a chance to talk to Tehachapi Police Chief Kent Kroeger in detail about recent crimes, arrests and crime prevention.

Chief Kroeger, when talking about crime reductions in the City of Tehachapi, feels it's about the public perception of feeling safe as well as seeing crime numbers drop. "How are people feeling, do people feel safe today, that it's safer today than it was a year ago," said Kroeger in the podcast.

We talk to him about crime prevention and how he is planning on rolling out a new program called #9PM and things we can all do to work together to make Tehachapi an even safer community.

Chief Kroeger believes strongly in community-based policing and being an active member of the community he serves. He left the TehachaPod studios to stop by the T.H.S. Varsity Baseball game versus Independence H.S. where he was asked to throw out the first pitch.

Season 3, Episode 11 – The Kern County economic opportunity discussion continued when Richard Chapman, the President and CEO of the Kern Economic Development Corporation stopped by the TehachaPod studios. Chapman talked about an opportunity for all ages with the STEMposium that will take place on April 1 in Kern County. We discuss east county opportunities in the energy sector and other areas of interest for individuals and businesses working with Kern EDC in our area. Also, we talk about educational opportunities and fields for those about to enter the work arena or exploring a change in career fields.
