Mojave Chamber to renovate park

April 2, 2022

The Chamber of Commerce for Mojave announced they had received a $3 million grant to renovate the Mojave East Park. The park is located next to the fire station on O Street.

Mission Bank is leaving Mojave and the accounts are being transferred to their Lancaster branch. Elderly residents and local businesses are concerned about the distance they will have to travel in order to do their banking. Alta One wants to fill the void left by Mission Bank. Alta One is looking to partner with a local business to share floorspace. Their goal is to have a bank anex similar to their working arrangement inside of Tehachapi’s Albertsons. The Stater Brothers would be a convenient location, but it seems unlikely. Stater Brothers is already doing business with Kern Schools and hosts one of their ATMs.

Adventist Hospital has sponsored the Mojave Little League team and announced that visitors are now permitted to visit the hospital due to a relaxing of state health regulation. Adventist has also unveiled a new statue “Three Angels” at their Tehachapi location.
