The Saint Malachy's Conference of Saint Vincent de Paul Charities has been serving in the Tehachapi area since 2001. The Conference is able to provide the following types of support for those in need: food, transportation assistance, utilities and rent assistance, financial help for education and employment preparation programs, as well as referrals to other charitable and public agencies in the Kern County area.

The society is an international organization of lay people, who practice Christian charity by helping those in need on a person-to-person basis. The essence of the society is personal service and commitment to help people regardless of creed, race or gender and we do not preach or attempt to convert anyone seeking help. Members also provide compassion through prison ministry.

The St. Malachy's Conference of St. Vincent de Paul volunteers staff their office and pantry located in the Parish Office at St. Malachy's Church at 407 W. E St., Tehachapi, on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and one can also reach us by phone and leave a message any day at (661) 822-1920.

Resources used to provide these services come from parishioners and community donations in the form of money and food commodities.

If you have a servant's heart to assist others, we welcome your participation. Volunteers can work in our pantry as little as one day per month. No particular church affiliation is required. The Conference would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every community member who has continued to support our ministry with food and monetary donations so generously over the years.
