TehachaPod receives podcasting award

On Tuesday, Oct. 5, the City of Tehachapi was notified its podcast TehachaPod has been honored by the 16th Annual w3 Awards as a Silver Award recipient.

TehachaPod was recognized in the category General Series – Public Service & Activism for the episode "Where Does Tehachapi's Water Come From?" This episode was published on March 26 of this year and can be listened to at tehachapod.libsyn.com/where-does-tehachapis-water-come-from.

"It is an honor to be recognized for communicating with our community, sharing information and utilizing technology in ways government agencies aren't known to do. TehachaPod is a communication tool to reach as many people as possible in Tehachapi," said Community Engagement Specialist and TehachaPod co-host Key Budge.

TehachaPod is in its second season of producing locally driven show topics and has released more than 100 episodes since March 2020. TehachaPod broke through the top 100 Apple Government Podcasts on two occasions.

TehachaPod is available on all podcasting platforms free of charge and is the official podcast for the City of Tehachapi.
