Newly retired and looking to move out of Santa Clarita, Joel Schoeninger and Georg Pich began to look for a new place to live. Joel said he had driven through the Tehachapi area years ago and the appeal of having four seasons ultimately brought them here. They fell in love with the first home they saw and bought it.

Georg recently retired from Wesco Aircraft in Valencia, a company that provides supply chain management services to the aerospace industry. Originally from San Salvador, he lived in Los Angeles for 42 years, with the last 27 in Canyon Country. He attended Hollywood High School and then LA City College studying graphic arts. He also had knowledge of accounting from San Salvador. When he was younger he played baseball and was also a dancer.

Joel came to California from Maryland in 1986. He had been affiliated with an ad agency in Bethesda working with local television and newspapers. He also followed Leland Tetz , choral director at Colombia Union College. He once toured Europe for three years with Tetz's Pro Musica choir group. He lived in Napa when he first moved to California and was a travel agent for nine years with AAA Travel there before moving to Southern California and meeting Georg. His sister still lives in Northern California.

Joel and Georg share a love of travel, music and the arts and are looking forward to all the fun and events happening in Tehachapi.

A big "welcome to Tehachapi" to Joel and Georg. We are sure we will be hearing more from you.
