After two years of planning, the Tehachapi Arts Commission will be hosting its first nationally recognized representational public art show July 24-25. The featured artwork will be the result of the Art 2021 paint-out held in Tehachapi from May 14-17, when 38 artists from all over the country began their work on pieces featuring the City of Tehachapi and surrounding areas.

Although the show is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, local residents will have the opportunity to attend a preview of the collection and purchase paintings at a Friday evening VIP gala. The event will be held at Aspen Builders Community Activity Center located at 410 W. D Street from 5 to 9 p.m.

During the Art 2021 Paint Out, the artists explored Tehachapi's natural beauty and wildlife.

While guests are strolling the aisles of paintings, the artists will be on hand to answer questions and discuss what inspired them most about our town and the surrounding area. Each artist will be submitting two large paintings and a miniature. All will be available for purchase. Tickets for the event are $100 (advance purchase only) and will include an open bar and hors d'oeuvres provided by Bord A Petite from Bakersfield. The event will benefit Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley Foundation to be used in future art purchases for the hospital.

Tickets for this premier event can be purchased at info@artstehachapi.org or by calling Laura at (626) 945-3753. The Tehachapi Arts Commission is a 501(c)4 nonprofit with the mission to establish Tehachapi as a destination for representational fine artists and collectors.
