Tehachapi's multiple Earth Day events

The Earth Day Clean Up events in the City of Tehachapi have started with four held so far this week and three remain over the weekend.

Multiple volunteer groups and businesses have reached out to the City of Tehachapi to conduct various Earth Day Clean Up events.

Monday, April 19, held two litter removal events along Tehachapi Blvd.

The Guardians of the Earth volunteer group filled a 8' x 10' utility trailer with trash and debris from along Tehachapi Bl & Dennison Rd. The City of Tehachapi Public Works Department provided trash bags, gloves, picker tools and safety vests to all who helped.

Thursday, April 22, two litter removal events held

Miramar International Realty led a litter removal event on Steuber Rd. and Tehachapi Blvd. They filled an 8' x 10' utility trailer with trash, debris and old furniture. The City of Tehachapi Public Works Department provided trash bags, gloves, picker tools and safety vests.

Also on Thursday, April 22

The Tehachapi Salvation Army led a group of volunteers to help cleanup the Antelope Run recreational area of Tehachapi along Valley Blvd. The Salvation Army filled a 8' x 10' utility trailer with bags of litter and debris. The City of Tehachapi Public Works Department provided trash bags, gloves, picker tools and safety vests.

Saturday, April 24 will feature a neighborhood cleanup with the volunteer group #lovetehachapi. For more information on volunteering for the Saturday events contact Key Budge (661) 822-2200 x 119. Trash bags, gloves, picker tools and safety vests will be provided.
