Pumpkin Fling.

The Stallion Springs Community Church held their annual Harvest Festival on October 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. Some of the events included pumpkin launching, decorating, crafts, games, a pie eating contest and lots of candy. There was outdoor fun for all.

Home Owners Association

The Stallion Springs HOA will be hosting a contest for the top three outdoor decorations for the holiday season. Decorate your home to represent your holiday. There will be three different prizes which will include donated prizes from your favorite local businesses and from the HOA. We are forming a judging panel and they will be announced at a much later date.

There will be sign ups in November via email, so hang tight and get your decorations ready.

Let's light up this community and make it shine for everyone to enjoy.

The HOA will be having their annual meeting on Saturday, November 14 at 1 p.m. at Man O' War Park. They will be voting in new board members, updating from the past one-and-a-half years and also updating on the biggest scholarship fundraiser yet and our future plans. General Manager, Vanessa Stevens, will update us on community project plans and ideas. Please follow COVID regulations, bring your own chairs and get to know our nonprofit organization. Get involved and volunteer to better your community. Please share this to get the word out.

Prop 68 Grant

The Stallion Springs Parks and Recreation Department held a Prop 68 Grant meeting on October 27 in the field just outside the Community Center near where the new park would be built. Several ideas for the park included: separate outdoor courts with fencing for pickle ball and basketball, a soccer field, tennis courts, outdoor exercise equipment and frisbee. There are additional meetings scheduled for November 14, 1 p.m. at Man O' War Park, November 17, 5 p.m. at the Community Center and December 5, 9 a.m. at the Community Center.

A few things to remember: Blue Recycle Cabinets are for bottles, cans, and plastics only, Big Rolling Dumpsters are for flattened cardboard only, E-waste bins have been moved under the awning and signs are posted as to what is and is not accepted. Anyone dumping unacceptable items will be fined.

E-waste items accepted: Cellphones, home phones, answering machines, pagers, computer, keyboards, mice, external hard drives, dvd players, blue ray players, VCRs, printers, scanners, fax machines, copy machines, modems, monitors, routers, stereos, televisions, satellite and cable boxes.

E-waste items not accepted: Refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves (or other similar appliances) microwaves, fluorescent tubes or other light bulbs, batteries, cds/dvds and cassette tapes.

If the bins are full, please let us know ASAP.

Curbside E-waste pickup will be available at certain times (see the door hanger at the E-waste site) and call the number on the tag to set this up.  Please do not call the CSD, they do not schedule pickups.
