Democrats pose with postcards they wrote for Kim Mangone.

Kim Mangone is on the ballot to replace Kevin McCarthy as 23rd Congressional District Representative. Democrats wanting to encourage her election wrote 2,000 postcards to send to voters in this area. The cards were hand-written by many people who created their personal message about the importance of electing Mangone.

Democratic women are united in their opposition to McCarthy, especially after he voted against H Res 1153 which was condemning surgical sterilization on immigrant women without their permission. He should be held accountable to women regardless of their immigration status.

He was also recently criticized for headlining a fundraiser for a Colorado candidate who embraced QAnon conspiracy theories, even though McCarthy previously called them debunked ideas with no room in the Republican Party.

Many of those who participated in writing the cards gathered at the post office on October 6 and joyfully mailed cards after posing for pictures. They hope their efforts will help elect Kim Mangone.
