July speakers at Kiwanis

Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi

July 18, 2020

Like a European village – The Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi speaker for Wednesday, July 22 is City of Tehachapi Economic Development Coordinator Corey Costelloe, who can tell us how the city is helping restaurants adapt to outdoor dining. Costello will present the city’s economic outlook. The Kiwanis meeting, which begins at noon, will be outdoors at a private home, unless the restaurants are open and we can resume gathering at our regular meeting place (Gold Mountain Sports Tavern).

Jobs with the census – The Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi speaker for Wednesday, July 29 is Richard A. Rios, recruiting manager, Bakersfield-Kern County Region, U.S. Census Bureau. Good jobs are available immediately with the census team. Rios will explain how to get those jobs and how the census works. The Kiwanis meeting, again, begins at noon and will be held outdoors at a private home unless the restaurants are open.

For more information about any of these meetings, please call Kiwanis Interim President Tina Cunningham at (661) 822-4515. Prospective members and guests welcome. Remote attendance will be available.
