Generators for Seniors fundraiser, Dec. 6

November 23, 2019

After our last power outages left many medically fragile and oxygen dependent seniors in the dark and struggling to breathe, we decided we needed to help somehow. Indoor rechargeable/solar generators and power stations to run their oxygen concentrators is the most useful and direct solution. Many back up batteries for oxygen are not meant to last the 2 to 3 day outages we have recently experienced.

On Dec. 6 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. come out to Westlane Brewing at 207 E. H St., Tehachapi, to help raise funds for portable power for our seniors. Enjoy the holiday spirit with friends and family!

There will be classic rock and country music played by the Blue Steel band, which has offered to play for free. Food and beer will be available for purchase.

The portable power stations we will be purchasing are approximately $300 with bulk discount and are able to power an oxygen concentrator and a small heated blanket.

Raffle tickets will be sold, as well as a silent auction for baskets and gift cards, which have been donated by many local businesses. There will also be a portable solar generator raffled off. To keep the giving season going, if you bring a toy for the Toys for Tots bin, you will receive a free raffle ticket.

Please join us and other local businesses in providing some of our oxygen-dependent seniors an alternative back up for when disaster strikes or extended outages take place. Family friendly, spread the word!

Any other questions or interested in donating contact Brenda at (714) 767-4078 or email B.Robinsonmt@yahoo.com.
