California City Renaissance – Fantasy Faire and huge Model Train Show

Come journey to the past with us for our 16th Renaissance and Fantasy Faire!

On Oct. 19 and 20 you will see Central Park in California City transformed into Elizabethan England, as the Queen and her court from the Guild of St. Marie roll into town, along with peddlers, jugglers, swordsmen, blacksmith, hearty food, tempting tarts and Royal Raven's Tavern.

Roughly 2,000 to 3,000 visitors will attend the Faire in Central Park, located at 10400 Heather Ave. in California City. The Faire opens on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, children 12 and under are free, Seniors 65, Military and students with ID are $5. The Faire ends on Sunday at 5 p.m. This is a pet friendly event. Entrance to the High Desert Model Train Shown is included with your paid Faire admission.

Confirmed entertainment includes Guild of St. Marie, Mayde in Ireland Band, Cutthroat Reef Renaissance Band of Merchant Sailors, Clan Mac Gowan, Her Majesty's Minstrel Cycle, Barrett's Privateers, Pirates!, Blacksmith Chema, Children's Fairy Game Garden, Chess 4Us, Henna tattoos and Queen's Tea. The Queen's Tea is on Saturday at 4 p.m. only for $5 per person, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. For the first time the Art Commission will be presenting Chalk the Walk.

Merchant's wares include jewelry, accessories, blacksmith handcrafted items, crystals, gemstones, original art glass, bath salts, lavender sachets, Victorian soaps, trays, knives, swords, toys, Ren Faire garb and more.

Mark the dates! Come enjoy a wonderful weekend with Her Majesty, her court and all the trappings of medieval times. Fun is the goal, and the California City Renaissance and Fantasy Faire is the place. We offer the only Renaissance Faire in the high desert.
