Come and join the fun. No reservations necessary.
Open Studios
Open Studios at the Treasure Trove do not require reservations – you can come and be inspired to do your best work (or play!) in our comfortable and creative environment and share ideas with other artists and crafters. No teachers will be available during open studios. Come any time the store is open and classes are not using the entire room. Three hour Open Studio sessions are available for $5. Come on over and get busy being creative!
Friday morning - 10 to 1 p.m. Open Studio - All Media.
Classes
Reservations for all classes with a deposit must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class. Students may bring their own supplies for classes or purchase supplies at the Treasure Trove. Monday mornings 10 to 12 p.m. - Drawing with the Right Side of the Brain with Lucinda Thomas for $15 per session. Students will learn basic drawing techniques using the "Right Side of The Brain" approach. New students are welcome on any class date. Supplies are newsprint, sketch book, assortment of sketching pencils. Reservations are required.
Monday afternoons from 1 to 3 or 4 p.m., Kids Classes for $15 a session plus supplies. A different class and media each week. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Classes will include: Drawing, Clay, Painting, Sculpey, Soap Stone, Macramé, Origami, String art, Lettering and more. Reservations and payment for all classes required 48 hours before the scheduled class. Please call the Treasure Trove for additional information.
Tuesday afternoons, 3 to 5 p.m. is Earth Clay with Gloria Moore for $25 per class plus clay and firing charge. A weekly open workshop to explore various methods of working with earth based clay.
Wednesday mornings 10 to 2 p.m. Adventures in Painting with Juanita Niemeyer. A workshop for artists. Bring your own project or work on a project supplied by the teacher. Juanita is an experienced art teacher and can help with techniques for whatever you want to paint. Paint on canvas, wood, glass, paper or ceramic bisque. $20 per session (not including materials). A variety of materials are available for sale at the Treasure Trove. Come any Wednesday and experience your creativity. Please bring lunch. Lunch break will be half an hour.
Thursday mornings from 9 to 1 p.m., Bisque Painting and Ceramic Workshop with Juanita Neimeyer for $20 a session plus supplies. Learn to use acrylic paints to decorate bisque pieces using a variety of techniques. A variety of bisque pieces are available to paint. Advance Reservations are required. Students will enter the store through the back door.
Thursday afternoons from 1:15 to 4:15 p.m. - Fiber Arts with Karen Stevens for $15 per session. Need help getting started or completing a project? Bring your project or idea to class and let Karen help you get going. Come once or every week. Beginners – Karen will teach you the basics. Projects may include Knitting, Crocheting, Cross Stitch, Needle Point, Tatting and Embroidery.
September 10, Saturday morning from 10 to 12:30 p.m. Tie Dye with Susanna. Tie Dye a t-shirt in your choice of design and color. $30 including shirt, dyes and gloves. Each student will dye one t-shirt which will be taken home to launder after the dyes have set. Class price includes the t-shirt. Size required with registration. Additional t-shirts are $10 each (Plus sizes $12). Please wear protective clothing that can get stained by the dyes. Gloves and dyes will be provided.
September 10, Saturday afternoon 1 to 4 p.m. Dream Catcher Weaving with Susanna Monette for $20 plus Materials. Each student will learn to weave a dream catcher.
September 24, Saturday from 10 to 4 p.m. Watercolor Workshop Birds, Birds, Birds with Nancy Waldron for $40 plus materials. Come explore watercolor bird painting. Several patterns available. All experience levels welcome. Class limit 12.
