First Friday

 

The Museum has acquired a collection of reindeer and other small animals made by local ceramics artist Jim Yurk. Mardy Yurk, the widow of the artist, has made them available to the Heritage League.

First Fridays have become a popular event of fun, refreshments,

hospitality and shopping at all the participating venues.

Gallery 'N' Gifts and the TVAA 100 W. Tehachapi Blvd

Gallery 'n' Gifts is a delightful shop to peruse, enjoy and yes shop, and pleased to announce a very special First Friday, Dec 4.

As many of you know each month Gallery 'n' Gifts highlights a special guest artist. This month is guest artist Michelle Miller. (See article on this page.)

Tehachapi Treasure Trove is located at 116 E Tehachapi Boulevard, right across the street from the water tower in Railroad Park. First Friday at Tehachapi Treasure Trove with featured artist Charlotte Ruse of Charlee. (See article on this page.)

The Tehachapi Christian Store Located at 108 East Tehachapi Blvd. in Downtown Tehachapi will have Christmas music playing and refreshments will be served.

Tehachapi Museum & Errea House on South Green St. Treasures from our local mountains and around the world will be featured on First Friday. Stop by for refreshments. (See article on this page.)

Back Street Gallery, 106 W. Tehachapi Blvd. hosts live music and refreshments.

Tehachapi Community Church

The Community Congregational Church invites the public to paint rock art symbols. Designing our own symbols is one way to honor and bring more awareness to rock art. Talking Stone - Rock Art of the Cosos will be playing throughout the evening. This DVD is available for purchase at the Museum next door. Enjoy the event while sipping a cup of Equal Exchange fair trade coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

You can also purchase Equal Exchange free trade products. Dedicated to fair trade with small-scale coffee farmers in the developing world. Come have a cup on us.

Fiddlers Crossing, 206 East F St., First Friday Open House with special guest performer, Lew Card–FREE!! (Tips for the performer encouraged!)

Sheridan's Boutique Home Consignment at 108 W. Tehachapi Blvd. will be open on First Friday. Please stop by! Refreshments will be available.

Tehachapi's Humble Collector at 101 East H St. is excited to join the downtown artists and merchants for this months First Friday event. Join us from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
