Tehachapi Police Explorers receive a Certificate of Recognition

The Tehachapi Police Explorers each received a Certificate of Recognition from Mayor Susan Wiggins at the July 20 City Council Meeting. The group was founded shortly after the formation of the Tehachapi Police Department in July of 2007 and consists of highly motivated kids between the ages of 14 and 20 who are interested in a career in law enforcement.
The group, under the guidance of advisor, Matt Goe (pictured on left) recently worked tirelessly for 14 hours during the 4th of July celebration filling staffing shortages, traffic control at the parade and rodeo, emptying trash cans and reuniting lost children with worried parents.
