January Plane Crazy Saturday: Meet Elliot Seguin and Jennifer 'Jenn' Whaley

Elliot Seguin – Elliot started in aerospace doing restoration work on WWII Stearman and T-6 trainers at Yesteryear Aviation in Mason, Michigan.  He then moved to Mojave, Calif. to work for Jon Sharp on the Nemesis NXT on which he crewed for ten years. 

Elliot has been involved in 11 record attempts including the 9 record attempts at the 2014 Mojave Experimental Flyin. 

Elliot worked a summer for Xcor Aerospace readying their rocket powered Long EZ for the rocket cross country distance record.   

At Scaled Composites since 2008, Elliot has worked test programs on WhiteKnightOne, Proteus, and WhiteKnightTwo/SpaceShipTwo. 

Elliot has built, tested, and raced two Reno racers, one of which he also designed.  Elliot has 1200 hours, three first flights, and almost 500 hours flight testing a dozen different aircraft for Scaled Composites, WASABI Air Racing, Aero Chia Race Aircraft, and RX Aerosport.

Wasabi Air Racing is an International Formula One, Pylon Air Racing Team designing building and testing in Mojave Calfi., and racing at Reno, Nev.

Jennifer 'Jenn' Whaley – Jenn Whaley is the Engineering Office Manager and Administrative Assistant to Vice President of Engineering at Scaled Composites, LLC.

She serves as Crew Chief with WASABI Air Racing and keeps the team organized during race week at Reno, Nev.

In 2009, Jenn helped with composite layup work on the race plane and is always on hand with valuable support. Jenn has been a licensed private pilot since 2011.
