While you're out and about at this year's Mountain Festival be sure to stop by the Tehachapi Valley Gem and Mineral Society's 12th annual Jewelry, Gem, and Mineral Show at the Tehachapi SENIOR CENTER. Though this is a new venue for the show, as in years past there will be a wide variety of things to see and do. Vendors will be showing and selling beautiful showcase minerals, fossils, polished rocks, beads, and handcrafted jewelry. Come out and enjoy the Jewelry, Gem, and Mineral Show August 19, and 20 from 9 to 5 p.m. at Tehachapi SENIOR CENTER (500 E. F Street) in downtown Tehachapi.
If you haven't purchased your raffle ticket for the 30-inch tall, 65-pound, gorgeous Amethyst cathedral, the show will be your final opportunity to do so. The winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. You do not need to be present to win (but it would be fun!).
The Tehachapi Valley Gem and Mineral Society will have the always-popular spinning wheel with many unique prizes. Spin the $1 or $5 wheel for great lapidary prizes such as fossilized shark's teeth and ammonites, and beautiful minerals, and polished rocks. There will also be additional raffles featuring many beautiful and unique prizes from the various show vendors.

Join TVGMS for its regular meetings the fourth Thursday of each month at Tehachapi SENIOR CENTER (500 E. F Street) at 7 p.m.
