Lions hear about the state of the City

Lions Club of Tehachapi

City Manager Greg Garrett and Past District Governor Eva Hebebrand.

On March 16, the Tehachapi Lions Club heard the "State of Tehachapi Address" from Tehachapi City Manager, Greg Garrett. Garrett's presentation carefully explained all branches of the city from the Administration, Economic Development, and Police Department to the Public Works Department. Garrett explained that like everything in life, Tehachapi has been changing and the City has been doing their best to keep up with and manage the changes.

The general plan by the City is wholly centered on maintaining the small town character that we all know and love, while supporting the appropriate growth. As a community, we are encouraged to attend City Council and/or Planning Commission meetings and to go by City Hall to share our ideas.

The Tehachapi Lions Club meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month 6:30 p.m. at the Tehachapi SENIOR CENTER, 500 E. F Street. To find out more about the Lions visit them on the Tehachapi Lions Club Facebook page or go to their website: http://www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/tehachapi/.
