Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social at the Errea House

On Sunday, June 28 the Tehachapi Heritage League will hold its annual “Old Fashion Ice Cream Social” fundraiser at the Errea House, located at 311 South Green Street. You will have an opportunity to visit the oldest house in Tehachapi, the historic Errea House Museum, and walk through the Errea Garden. The Ice Cream Social will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.

You can build your own ice cream sundae, or just have a scoop of delicious ice cream, generously donated by Baskin Robbins, for $1 a scoop with your favorite toppings included.

June promises to be warm, so a nice scoop or two will be a delicious refresher. Be sure to stop by and enjoy and a sundae in the garden. Errea Garden Chair Lucia Sandy has done an amazing job with the garden.

Tour the Errea House to learn more about the Basque heritage of the Errea family. Stroll through the 1900s era Errea Garden or visit the museum across the street and see the new displays.

Anyone who wishes to donate photographs to the museum collection can discuss them at the event. For more information, please call Charles White at 972-0958. Mark your calendar now for this old fashioned tradition.
