Tehachapi's Litter Clean-Up Day a success

City of Tehachapi

The Tehachapi Area Association of Realtors and the City of Tehachapi hosted a litter clean-up day Oct. 11 from 8 to 10 a.m. Despite strong winds and chilly temperatures, several community members came out to the Starbucks on Voyager Drive to remove trash and debris from the surrounding lots.

The volunteers cleared out debris along Voyager Drive and Capital Hills Parkway near the Highway 58 on-ramps; in total, 13 bags of litter were collected and removed. This event helped the City's Public Works Department maintain Tehachapi's clean streets, businesses, and neighborhoods.

The City of Tehachapi thanks Jeannette Devlin with the Tehachapi Area Association of Realtors for initiating the litter clean-up day and for organizing the event's volunteers. The city also thanks all community members who spent their morning picking up litter and helping to beautify our community.
