The second Saturday of every month at Tehachapi Airport is airplane display day, and many hanger owners open their hangers to the public to show off the aircraft.

Currently this is the only day when the airport is open to the public. On March 12, Todd Schultz and his family partnered with the Tehachapi Society of Pilots to open Hanger H on Commercial Way which they hope will become an air museum. The hanger will be open on display day until they can complete the required paperwork for the city to allow them to put up a "museum" sign and be open more often.

Todd and his parents Phil and Barbara have been working on aviation and historical memorabilia displays. The hanger currently houses various training aircraft including a Cessna 150 and a BT13 Vultee.
