On Thursday June 3, the City of Tehachapi will hold the first Tehachapi Farmers Market for the summer of 2021.

In years past the former nonprofit Main Street Tehachapi had organized the event. The organization decided to dissolve this year and the event was turned over to the city to coordinate.

"I am so grateful and excited to be given the opportunity to continue this amazing event supporting and giving back to our community," said Marianna Gutierrez Farmers Market Manager.

"The Farmers Market gives everyone a chance to come out and enjoy the fresh locally grown crops from Tehachapi and throughout Kern County. We extended the length of the market to end on September 30 so all Tehachapi farmers could participate as well," said Greg Garrett City Manager.

The Tehachapi Farmers Market will be coordinated through City Hall and logistical support will continue with our Public Works and Police Departments. The Tehachapi Farmers Market will be held on Thursdays from June 3 through September 30, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Green Street in Downtown Tehachapi.
