'Once Upon a Time' Dance Recital

The Dance Craze's "Once Upon a Time" was a show that wowed the audience! On June 18, the Lancaster Performing Arts Center filled with families waiting to see the 115 dancers tell their story.

Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Lion King, The Little Engine That Could and many more stories were showcased in the show using several different genres of dance such as ballet, jazz, tap, Christian lyrical, hip hop, musical theater, competitive teams and much more. Joscelyn Rivers, Carrie Soldati and Ahnnya Smeeks (the teachers) even took stage with the advanced jazz group to perform "Step In Time." "It was our best show to date by far! The dancers wowed the audience! From tears during our Father Daughter Dance to laughter and awes during the two year olds dancing to 'How Much Is That Doggie In the Window,' it was amazing to see how far the dancers have come in a years time!" states the owner and director Joscelyn Rivers.

Families reviewed it "compared to a broadway show" and "astounding". The Dance Craze will be continuing classes during the summer and then in September they will be expanding to two studios to accommodate the growth they are experiencing. "We feel so blessed to be able to share our passion with the community and so thankful that the students love it as much as we do!" states office manager Melanie Rivers.
