Friends of the Tehachapi Library
The Friends of the Tehachapi Library will once again host a Community Book Sale during the Tehachapi Apple Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12 in the Library Courtyard.
The Boutique section features vintage/rare books, specially priced books, book sets, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks and Great Courses materials. Donations from our community have been generous and our Bag Sale area will feature children's titles, hardback and paperback fiction and nonfiction for a mere $5 a bag. During the last two hours of the sale (3 to 5 p.m.), books in the Boutique section will be half off, and the bag sale price will drop to $1 a bag!
We know our Apple Festival sales are challenging for locals - limited parking makes it hard. But our community has been so generous, we wanted to give them their own sale. So if you want to beat the Apple Festival crowds, park closer and shop on Friday night! To show our thanks, the local community is invited to shop our "We Love Locals" Sale on Friday, Oct. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m.
The main sale for Apple Festival will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Members of the Friends (membership available for purchase at the door) and those who volunteer can shop before the sale opens from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The Friends of the Tehachapi Library rely on volunteers to help set up and take down the book fair. Contact the Friends at [email protected] or (661) 750-2818. Volunteers get earliest access to the sale.
All proceeds support the Tehachapi Library.
The Tehachapi Library will have a booth on Saturday and Sunday at the entrance to the Library parking lot on F Street.
The library is located at 212 S. Green St. We hope to see you soon!
