The Antelope Valley Fair & Event Center is excited to announce the dates and theme for the 2024 Antelope Valley Fair, which will take place from Sept. 25-29.
This year's theme, "Hay It's A Moosical Fair," was developed in collaboration with Lancaster High School's Audio Visual & Engineering students. The top three projects were submitted by Isabel Grider, Lars Smith and Alyus Albright. Albright's theme, "Hay It's A Moosical Fair" was selected as the winner by the Board of Directors.
"I would like to express our sincere gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the brainstorming of the AV Fair theme and artwork," said Erica Rough, the Lancaster High School Multimedia & Engineering Academy Coordinator. "It was a valuable experience for our students to collaborate with such a creative team and contribute their ideas to this community event. We appreciate the recognition of their talent and look forward to seeing the final theme and artwork come to life!"
This year marks a significant change as the fair has been shortened to five days. Angie Hughes, President of the Antelope Valley Fair Association, shared her thoughts on the change: "Shortening the fair to five days was a long and complicated decision, but one we ultimately feel will benefit the community. The length of time for local groups and vendors to staff their booths was time-consuming and difficult. Partnering with the city of Lancaster on the California Poppy Festival offers the community two events at different times during the year which increases the chances that the community will be able to attend and experience everything we have to offer. But be assured, we are going to fill five days with even more entertainment, exhibits and animals than ever before. We can't wait to show off the fair during a time of year with cooler temperatures."
The 2024 Antelope Valley Fair will be highlighted by five days of concerts at the Palmdale Auto-mall Grandstands. Once again, grandstand seating is free with admission, and a world-class carnival owned by Helm & Sons Amusements. In addition, the fair will feature a variety of educational exhibits for kids and a multitude of animal exhibits, including sows and their baby pigs, milking cows, llamas, sheep, goats and more.
Food lovers will be delighted to know that all their favorite fair foods will be back, such as BBQ, corn dogs and funnel cakes. Additionally, the fair will once again feature local food trucks, ensuring that local concessionaires are represented, and a diversity of food offerings is assured.
The Antelope Valley Fair & Event Center invites everyone to join in the fun and celebrate this year's theme, "Hay It's A Moosical Fair." With a focus on entertainment, education and community, this year's fair promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.
