Democrats hear from veterans

April 27, 2024

Tehachapi Mountain Democratic Club will recognize veterans at their May 2 meeting.

Travis Tazelaar and Rick Hegdahl, directors for VoteVets will speak to the club via Zoom. This format has enabled the club to hear from highly knowledgeable leaders from diverse locations.

VoteVets is an organization established in 2006 to support progressive veterans, military families and their civilian supporters. It is the first organization of its kind and the largest. There are over one and a half million supporters in the United States. VoteVets uses public issue campaigns to lift up the voices of veterans on matters of national security, veterans’ care and issues that affect the lives of those who served, as well as their families.

Tehachapi Mountain Democratic Club meets the first Thursday of each month at Kelcy’s Restaurant, 110 W. Tehachapi Blvd. Dinner and socializing starts at 5 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 6 p.m. See for more information.
