Everyone was welcome to take part in Cerro Coso Community College's Express Enrollment to streamline their registration process, which took place on Wednesday, April 17. Snacks and beverages were offered as students went from room to room to see what was in store for their future.

Each student received one-on-one attention with programs such as financial aid, academic advising and many other support needs. Friendly staff awaited new and current students, ready to explore their many options for education.

Hunter E. attended with his parents to learn about and sign up for the classes he anticipated starting. He expressed, "I'm here to register for college in hopes of a career in I.T." Hunter (and his parents) loved the idea of a community college and added, "The campus is very close to me. I don't have to drive far and it's affordable."

Lisa Stephens, director for East Kern and Kern River Valley, happily reported, "Express Enrollment Day at Cerro Coso Community College's Tehachapi campus was a success! Just under 100 new and returning students came on the beautiful spring day to enroll for this year's summer and fall college semesters. The line of students went out the door waiting for the help of our two educational counselors Karee Hamilton and Ivan Ibarra, who professionally and kindly assisted and advised students on moving forward in their academic endeavors. Students signed up for welding, wildland firefighting, psychology, social work, art courses and more! The Tehachapi campus is now offering 42 classes in person."

Don't wait, it's not too late to get enrolled. Visit Cerro Coso's website at http://www.cerrocoso.edu or call (661) 823-4986 to enroll today, or come by the campus for assistance.
