Kids from the Tehachapi Mountain 4-H Club have been representing our community at California's State Fairs and numerous other livestock shows throughout the year.

This summer Cassie Smith competed at the California State Fair in the prestigious Master Showmanship Competition. After winning at the Kern County Fair, Joshua Borst will represent Tehachapi again at the California State Fair in 2024 in the Master Showmanship Competition.

Raising animals and competing is only a small part of what 4-H offers. There are leadership programs, community service, presentation competitions, cooking, sewing, gardening and so many more skills to help kids succeed in life. In keeping with the moto of 4-H, these kids strive "To Make the Best Better."

If you are interested in learning about 4-H please contact Jennifer Chamberlain at (310) 621-4802 or Brenda Smith at (661) 972-7507.
