Local nurse receives DAISY Award

We are thrilled to share that Bonnie Mazel has been awarded the DAISY Awards for her outstanding nursing care. This award recognizes nurses who go above and beyond in their patient care and truly make a difference in the lives of their patients and families.
Bonnie received the award during the Nurses Week Breakfast, and she was nominated for the award for many different reasons.
She is an exemplary nurse and educator. Bonnie also arranged a terrific skills fair in Tehachapi in 2022 but didn't stop there. Based on the great feedback in Tehachapi, she knew the whole Kern Market needed to have the same opportunity afforded to them. As such, she developed a formal professional proposal for her vision. Once approved, she single-handedly led the project which ultimately made the wellness fair a reality at all three campuses.
She worked tirelessly on this project due to her love and passion for nursing and education. She continues to elevate the level of care our nurses and staff are able to provide to patients. The role education plays for patients can sometimes be forgotten but our educators are the backbone of our successful quality patient care. Her dedication to Adventist Health and her profession is truly inspiring health, wholeness and hope!
