Wendy Watson, 'Where All The Veins Meet'

Provided.

Wendy Watson.

Gallery 'N' Gifts is delighted to present the March Guest Artist, Wendy Watson.

Wendy was born and raised in Ventura and Ojai, California. Living many years in Frazier Park she finally landed in Tehachapi two years ago.

Through her life Wendy has found creating many styles of art to be a nice change and a source of solace. Coming from a family of artists and musicians, inspiration was never out of reach. Including the joyful experience of teaching art to TK through eighth grade students over the course of 10 years.

Wendy has never been one to shy away from different mediums or methods. She has been drawn to texture and color since childhood. That is evident in her use of discarded material, sticks, beads, yarn, tissue paper, clay and foil. If it can be painted, she will use it. She even paints her shoes!

Her inspiration comes from life experiences, combined with moments in time that have caught her eye or impacted her heart. There are no rules in her art.

She loves spending time with her children and family, enjoys listening to music, and going to concerts; when she's not creating, she can be found also dancing, reading, hiking, local bird watching and flower tracking/documenting in her nature diary.

Until now, she has only produced for herself, family, and close friends. This is her first gallery exhibit.

Join us to welcome Wendy and her unique art to Gallery 'N' Gifts during our First Friday reception on March 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at 100 W. Tehachapi Blvd. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Wendy's display will be available at the Art Gallery until March 31.
