Happy Holidays from the Tehachapi Arts Center

To all our friends, customers and members, we hope your holiday season is pleasant and memorable. We're excited to join with the city and our neighboring businesses this season to celebrate the holidays, starting with the Tehachapi Hometown Christmas celebration. Aside from the Homemade Christmas gifts, ornaments, cards and decorations, we will be offering a warm place and hot chocolate for event attendees, as well an ornament decorating class for the young ones.

If you are seeking a nice gift, activity or just want one, Cathy will be holding a Copper Bookmark Class on Dec. 4. It starts at 10 a.m. and you get to craft two bookmarks.

This month our Paint Night is on Dec. 17 with Edward Vasqkedi. We will have wine, soda and snacks while Ed shows us how to paint a festive pair of snowmen and a beautiful Christmas tree.

Children's Art Class every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. We can also offer a private class for birthdays or your own group of friends. Call Grayson for more information.

Alari Design

Our jeweler is ready to design and produce that exceptional gift for that special person. One of the best things about our shop is that these are one-of-a-kind, custom, made here in Tehachapi pieces. They're as unique as you want them to be. We are also busy replacing watch batteries, re-sizing rings and repairing all types of jewelry. Mike's jeweler hours are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by appointment. Call or text (661) 805-0849 for more information.

Our new Facebook page manager Marta has been very busy, so don't forget to visit us there. We will have all the classes and updates online.

The Tehachapi Arts Center (TAC) is a cooperative continuing in the tradition of Mel White's Treasure Trove. TAC provides a venue for local artisans to gather, learn, teach, display, and sell their art. We are located at 116 E. Tehachapi Blvd. (across the street from the water tower). TAC is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can reach us at: (661) 822-6794.
