What's Up in Bear Valley Springs?

October 29, 2022

Some autumn weather is beginning to appear. Mainly, we need moisture.

The election is nearly upon us. And two important measures for our community are on the ballot, Measures V and W. Passing them will help ensure the future and well-being of the community. Otherwise our infrastructure will crumble and our CSD reserve account will be in the red. Unfortunately, the election board caused a typo in each of the measures which confuses the issue. They hope to have it resolved by Nov. 8.

On Oct. 20, a large, well-behaved crowd turned out for the Meet the Candidates forum. It was moderated by the BVSA General Manger Wesley Shryock. Fifteen questions were put forth to each of the candidates. Unfortunately, because of the large crowd, it was sometimes difficult to hear their responses, but it did help that each candidate rose to speak each time. The debate ran from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

An important process is in progress: BVS residents are required to get new amenity cards. If your last name starts with letters A through F, you should have your card now. Check with the Association Office, or E-Buzz newsletter to get details. In November they will be processing people with last names starting with the letters G-M. December, they will process N-S. In the new year, processing for letters T-Z will take place. This is all to increase the security at the gate. There is no personal financial expense involved. So, get to the BVSA office with completed application form, preferably.

Bear Valley Springs is a private gated community in which the residents pay an annual association amenities fee. To visit, a non-member or non-resident must arrange with a friend or family member in the community for a guest pass that would permit them to engage in the activities. Guest passes will be checked.
