2022 Law Enforcement Torch Run – Special Olympics, Oct. 27

Tehachapi Police Department

October 15, 2022

The Tehachapi Police Department has once again joined in with Special Olympics Southern California to host Tehachapi's 2022 Law Enforcement Torch Run. Please join us by walking or running to help us celebrate inclusion, spread awareness and raise funds for our local Special Olympics Athletes in Kern County! The event will be held at Centennial Plaza on South Green Street in Downtown Tehachapi on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. It would mean a lot to the athletes and their coaches to have police officers and citizens there to support and encourage them before they go off to compete in the games.

Anyone and everyone can help in some way. Whether it's donating on our team's website, taking a place next to an athlete or just cheering for the athletes. There is room for everyone. So, please, do what you can and spread the word to those who might be interested in participating. Coffee, hot chocolate and pastries will be served at the event for all who participate. Last year our team raised over $1,200 for our athletes and it is our goal the do even better this year!

If you sign up to join the Tehachapi Police Department Team, consider purchasing a T-shirt for $25. Proceeds go to the Special Olympics Southern California local Kern division. T-shirts will also be available for purchase on the day of the event, but sizes will be limited. Sign up here: tinyurl.com/yc2ndayj.
