Burning of the flags during the Flag Retirement Ceremony on Sept. 11.
On Sept. 11, several organizations joined for a Flag Retirement Ceremony and 9/11 Remembrance event at the Tehachapi Rodeo & Event Center. Approximately 1,500 flags were collected from the Tehachapi community and received a proper retirement.
