Music to your ears, Oct. 15-16
Tehachapi Apple Festival
September 10, 2022
Every year we make every effort to make Centennial Plaza a comfortable and fun place to be during the Apple Festival. This year will be no exception, but there will be a few changes.
First of all, apple bobbing will take place in the Kid's Carnival area and be run by our fantastic THS Cheerleading Squad, with all the games and races. Both the pie eating and pie baking contests will take place on the street in front of Centennial Plaza, so more people are aware that it's going on.
We will have a fantastic apple pie vendor in the plaza selling apple pie by the slice. This year we are delighted to highlight two of our great local businesses, Westlane Brewery, who will be serving the beer in the Plaza, and Tehachapi Winery who will be serving wine. We'll also have a coffee company in case you want a cup of java with that pie. Eat, drink and be merry while you sit in Centennial Plaza and enjoy our lineup of great live music.
On Saturday, Oct. 15 we'll have a solo singer performing some cover tunes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. You're in for a rare treat in the Plaza from 1 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 15 when Beachwood Recording Artist (over 24 albums), James Lee Stanley, performs with friends. From 3 p.m. until closing at 5 p.m., you can have fun and dance to Big Game Ticket. We had them at the festival last year.
On Sunday, Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. you can enjoy the great harmonies and song selection of our duo, Walt & Pam, and we'll finish the day from 1 to 4 p.m. with some Rock n' Roll from the Acme Music Co.
Come for all the festivities but don't forget to spend some time hanging out at Centennial Plaza. Dust off your dancing shoes, get your voice tuned up and enjoy the music. Kids are welcome to dance and sing, too!
