Corey Ray Bernatz of California City died Thursday, July 28. Corey was born at Clark AFB Philippines and then lived in Ventura, California. At the age of 7, he moved to California City, and would spend roughly the next 25 years there, with the exception of a single year after high school where he lived in Ventura.

Being the eldest of five siblings, Corey is survived by Casey, Elisa, Glenda, Russell and Cindy. Also, his mom, Leticia, and his dad, Russell Bernatz.

His favorite hobbies included riding dirt bikes, spending time with family and being on the open road. He loved being outside, he enjoyed hiking and was a free spirit.

Corey was a person you could always count on if you needed help. He was loved by so many and will be missed deeply. We will always keep you close to our hearts Corey -The Bernatz Family
