Safe 1 Credit Union, headquartered in Bakersfield, has announced the hiring of Chris Hanson as its new vice president of technology. Hanson brings to his new position 17 years of credit union industry experience, and has worked in the technology field for more than 20 years.
"Bringing in someone of Chris' caliber is an instant positive for our organization," stated David King, President/CEO for Safe 1. "There is little doubt his experience and expertise will do much to benefit us in both the immediate and long-term future."
During his career, Hanson has served in various technology roles most recently as vice president of Data Office and Advanced Analytics for Valley Strong Credit Union, where he was employed since 2016. In addition to this recent tenure, Hanson has also been employed at Aera Energy, LLC, Fiserv, Inc. and Frontier Trust.
