Safety and rules of the road were taught, then emphasized, as young riders were guided by Tehachapi City Police officers through a maze of cones, set up to simulate city streets. The event was co-sponsored by Cal Trans and the CHP.
"We want to teach our young kids early on to learn safety and the rules of the road when riding their bicycle. Helmets are a must," said Tehachapi City Police Chief Kent Kroeger.
