New sculpting class at Tehachapi Arts Center

Our Sculpting Class will be held every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. Lucinda will teach you the basics of hand sculpting in clay.

Paint Night is on Saturday, March 19 at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy an evening of good company, wine and snacks as you paint a peaceful country landscape.

Saturday, March 26 will be Cathy’s Copper Bookmark Class. Create an attractive useful work of art for yourself or as present for that avid reader on your gift list.

Our weekly Children’s Classes with Grayson is held every Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Individual and small group classes are available.

Don’t forget First Friday is on April 1. We will have wine and hors d’oeurves. No foolin’!

Our popular Glass Fusion Class continues with a more advanced lesson on Saturday, April 2. Leila will show you how to create a more detailed landscape design.


Please note there is a fee for all our classes and some of them fill up quickly. So, if there is one that you wish to attend sign up early.

Jewelry Store

The Tehachapi Arts Center is the home of the only full-service jewelry store in town, Alari Design repairs, cleans, resizes and creates fine jewelry.

Hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., or call for an appointment at (661) 805-0849.

The Tehachapi Arts Center is a cooperative, continuing the heritage of Mel White’s Treasure Trove providing a venue for local artisans to gather, learn, teach and, of course, display and sell their art. We are located at 116 E. Tehachapi Blvd. (across the street from the water tower). Open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., call (661) 822-6794.
