Season 3, Episode 119 – Safe Surrender Baby Awareness Month Discussed

February was proclaimed to be Safe Surrender Baby Awareness Month in the City of Tehachapi and the County of Kern. Jana Slagle from the Kern County Department of Health and Human Services explained why it's important to have this discussion and how successful the program has been since its inception.

Greg, Corey and Key also provide an update from the most recent Tehachapi City Council meeting held February 7.

Season 3, Episode 118 – 2022 is Off and Running in Tehachapi

The TehachaPod podcast debuts its third season with Tehachapi City Manager Greg Garrett, Assistant City Manager Corey Costelloe, and Community Engagement Specialist Key Budge as they talk about how quickly things are moving in the early weeks of the new year.

They discuss the recent crime statistics in the City of Tehachapi released by Tehachapi Police Department Chief Kent Kroeger. There has been a crime reduction in part 1 crimes tracked by the Federal Bureau of Investigations for the past twelve months.

They also talk about some capital projects coming close to wrapping up and explain how long it takes when working with grant funded projects and about a community feedback survey asking about the community's priorities.
