Maria Inez Weber.

Maria Inez Weber, loving wife, mother, and grandmother died December 28, 2021, in Bakersfield, California. The funeral services were handled by Wood Family Funeral Service. A visitation was held on January 10 and Maria was laid to rest at the Tehachapi Public Cemetery, Eastside.

Maria was born August 14, 1960, in Santa Barbara, California, to Cora Inez McKinlay and Joseph Angel Lara. Maria spent much of her younger years caring for her sisters Joyce Lara and Beverly Murray. Maria grew up in the Los Angeles area and moved to Santa Barbara in 1981. In 1982 she gave birth to twin boys Joseph and Jerry Sandoval. In Santa Barbara she met the love of her life, Ralph Weber, and married September 22, 1984. Maria and Ralph had a son, Luke Weber, in 1986.

Much of Maria's career was in the food service industry. Most notably, and alongside her husband, she owned and operated several cafeteria locations under Weber Cafeteria Services. Maria loved being with people and she loved to serve so she was exceptional in her career. Maria's love and career took her many places, living all over California and spending over a decade in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Maria was a model host at any gathering as she liked cooking for others and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Out and about she loved to strike up conversations which led to good friendships with neighbors, coworkers, and customers. She was quick to laugh and found humor in most things. One of the ways she showed her care for others was by always sending cards during holidays and birthdays. She thoroughly enjoyed arts and crafts, pictures, and giving gifts. Maria loved her family, worked hard to make sure her children had every opportunity, and prayed for them often. Most evenings she delighted in drinks and conversation with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ralph Weber, and sons, Joseph Sandoval, Jerry and Julie Sandoval, and their children, Josiah, Jubilee, Joshua, and Jacob; Luke and Rachel Weber, and children, Renee, Christopher, Jaslyn, and Joseph.

In lieu of flowers, you may honor Maria's memory through a donation to The Christian Campus Center at UTA, UTA Box 195369, Arlington, TX 76019 or http://www.tricatuta.org/Donate or to another charity of your choosing in her honor.
