Parks and Recreation

An all new Friday Fit class will be starting on January 7, 2022 every Friday starting at 9:30 a.m. The cost is $8 per class. Each class will include a warm up, full body workout and a cool down. Email the instructor for more details at myauntsonya@gmail.com. Sign up and pay the instructor at the start of each session.

Judo classes, for ages 6 and up, will begin on January 10, 2022 and will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the gym. The cost is $20 per month. Don't miss out on this great opportunity for the kids and teens. Contact the CSD for more information.

Safe Medication Disposal

The CSD is asking residents when using the safe medication disposal box located in the lobby to place only medicines in the box. NO needles of any sort, NO liquids, NO thermometers, NO inhalers or aerosols, NO empty bottles or medical supplies. Most of these items can be received on hazardous waste days on the first Saturday of each month.

If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 and specify to the dispatcher that you live in Stallion Springs. The Stallion Springs Police Department is dispatched through the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

For non-life-threatening issues, please call (661) 861-3110. You may contact us by email or using the contact information provided on the CSD website, http://www.stallionspringscsd.com. If you wish to make an appointment to speak with an officer contact the CSD at (661) 822-3268. Appointments maybe canceled at any time due to limited police staffing.

Manager's Moment

Grant update: As many of you know we applied for the competitive California State Parks Prop 68 Grant in March 2021. Unfortunately, we found out that we were NOT one of the entities to receive the award or funding. Our hearts are broken as we had high hopes of building a dream community park for all to enjoy. I want to personally thank everyone who supported us, showed up to the meetings and gave us guidance along the way. Thank you David Aranda for all of your help and time you put in through this whole process. You continue to guide and support us and we appreciate you so much. Shawnee Brown you rocked it and I am so proud of all of the hard work you put in on this! Stallion Springs Board of Directors

The Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the CSD Boardroom or at the Community Center subject to Covid restrictions. The next meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., January 18, 2022.
