The Tehachapi Treasure Trove gives birth to artist co-op

The Tehachapi Treasure Trove

December 18, 2021

From January 1 to 16, 2022. we will be closed for remodeling. On January 17 we will reopen as the Tehachapi Arts Center. We are now a cooperative of more than 24 local artists and craftsmen. The new partnership will bring several positive changes for our customers and community. We will be open more days, offer more classes, more events and opportunities for new artists, as well as new events for the young artists, an Open Mic night for our performing artists and opening up our facility for classes, meetings and rehearsal spaces.

To all our old customers and friends don’t worry, we’re keeping Mel and paint night as well as the majority of our present art venders. We are seeking new venders and local artists who want to join us in our new cooperative adventure. If you have a class you want to take or teach let us know.

The Tehachapi Arts Center is a cooperative, continuing the heritage of Mel White’s Treasure Trove providing a venue for local artisans to gather, learn, teach, and of course display and sell their art. We are located at 116 E. Tehachapi Blvd., (across the street from the water tower). Open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Phone (661) 822-6794.
