What's Up in Stallion Springs?

Breakfast with Santa

Dec. 11 with time slots from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 to 11:15 a.m. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk or your choice of hot chocolate or coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 per child over two years old. Families having more than five members pay a maximum of $25. The cost includes activities for the kids. Tickets can be purchased at the CSD.

Please buy tickets in advance so we can ensure we have enough supplies for everyone! If you are unable to make any of the times to purchase tickets, please contact me so we can find a time that does work for you. This is such a fun event and we hope to see you and your family there!

We are also in need of volunteers to help cook.

Holiday Boutique

The annual Holiday Boutique is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Community Center. Come and get some of your holiday shopping done while supporting small businesses within our community. There are 28 vendors signed up with a great variety of products.

CERT

David Cox, Stallion Springs CERT Program Manager announced that Stallion Springs CERT has canceled its December meeting for to the holiday season. We wish you all a very happy and safe Holiday Season, and we give thanks for all that each of you have done for our SSCERT and Stallion Springs and Tehachapi communities, not only this year, but in years past.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for the first Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022 with radio net call up beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m. The CERT Team looks forward to seeing you and working with you in the New Year.

Library

The Stallion Springs Library offers an open studio on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Artists, crafters and scrap bookers are welcome. Cost is $5 each Wednesday attended. The regular library hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m. The public is always welcome.

Story time is back at the library at a new time, 10 a.m. on the third Friday of each month. Come down for stories, crafts and to meet new friends. The library is located on Pelliser Road.

Police Report

If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 and specify to the dispatcher that you live in Stallion Springs. The Stallion Springs Police Department is dispatched through the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

For non-life-threatening issues, please call (661) 861-3110. You may contact us by email or using the contact information provided on the CSD website, http://www.stallionspringscsd.com. If you wish to make an appointment to speak with an officer, contact the CSD at (661) 822-3268. Appointments maybe canceled at any time due to limited police staffing.

Stallion Springs Board of Directors

The Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the CSD Boardroom or at the Community Center, subject to COVID restrictions. The next meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., Dec. 14, but will be canceled due to the Christmas holiday unless a pressing issue, requiring immediate action should come up.
