It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mildred Fay Bearden. Mildred was born on Monday, Jan. 13, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Her family consisted of father, Columbus Meadows, and mother, Verbie Meadows. Mildred was the tenth of fifteen children. Her family were farmers, so as a youth and teen she helped on the family farm.

Mildred married Erby Ray Bearden on Jan. 23, 1965. They had three children, Pamela (1966), Christopher (1970) and Douglass (1972).

In 1976 they moved to Boron, California, so that Erby Ray could be employed at U.S. Borax. In 1979 Mildred began to work at U.S. Borax also.

Mildred was a member of the Eastern Stars Boron Chapter.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Erby Ray; grandson, Andrew; and granddaughter, Lola. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela; sons, Christopher and Douglas; grandchildren, Christian, Trista, Caleb, Cheyenne, Makalla, Tyler and Brianna. Mildred is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Adrian, Isaac, Audrey, Liam, Jaxon, Ivy and Madeleine.

Mildred’s services will be held at the Tehachapi Public Cemetery, Eastside, 1201 Burnett Rd., Tehachapi.
