Brews on the Mountain a success

November 6, 2021

Brews on the Mountain held at the Ed Grimes Ball Field on Oct. 23 was a resounding success. In spite of the cold and wind, the park was packed with people. Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District teamed up with local Westlane Brewing to create the event, which featured 14 breweries and two wineries.

“We would like to give a big thank you to all our sponsors,” said Brenda Cavalos, Recreation Specialist for TVRPD. “This would not have been possible without their support! We hope that all who attended our event enjoyed themselves. We are very grateful for such a fun and big turnout despite the weather being cold and windy. After all, we do live in Tehachapi, where we can go from wearing shorts one day then wearing jackets the next. Most would say they couldn’t feel their hands or face, but we embraced our mountain weather and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you all, again, for attending and making this all worth the work!”

TVRPD also announced that the event was so successful that they plan to make this an annual event. “We are very excited to improve and grow this event to its fullest potential,” said Cavalos. “We look forward to seeing you all next year for Brews on the Mountain Beer and Wine Festival 2022.”
