Stallion Springs resident Natalie Frankland was featured at Tehachapi Winery on Friday, Oct. 8, at a dinner and wine tasting event. She is looking forward to returning to the winery on Dec. 12 for an encore presentation.
Natalie is the Worship Team Leader at the Stallion Springs Community Church that provides music at the Sunday services and will be the lead at the Tehachapi Christmas tree lighting.
Artist exchange and library
Start your holiday shopping early. The Stallion Springs Artist Exchange and the Stallion Springs Library will be hosting a combined art and book sale on Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. See all the new fall and holiday paintings and meet the artists.
They will be selling books for a $1 per bag or 25 cents each. We invite you to join us for this delightful event. Our regular Library hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m. The public is always welcome.
Story time is back at the Library at a new time, 10 a.m. on the third Friday of each month. Come down for stories, crafts and to meet new friends. The Library is located on Pelliser Road.
Harvest Festival
Need a little more fall fun? Saturday, Oct. 30, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Stallion Springs Community Church will be holding its annual Fall Festival in the church parking lot. Vendors, Claudia's Catering, fun and games, pie-eating contest and hay rides are just a few of the events planned. Come join the fun.
Parks and Rec
Free pickle ball in the gym, Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 6 p.m. and on Saturdays at 9 a.m. All levels are welcome Come join the fun.
Open gym Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3 to 6 p.m.
Police Report
Police Chief Gary Crowell filed a report of statistics for September 2021. The Department had three arrests, issued three citations, had 81 reports, 94 calls for service, completed 29 officer initiated investigations, 32 field interviews and one medical assist. There were four vacation house checks and the department assisted other law enforcement agencies 11 times.
If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 and specify to the dispatcher that you live in Stallion Springs. The Stallion Springs Police Department is dispatched through the Kern County Sheriff's office.
For non-life-threatening issues, please call (661) 861-3110. You may contact us by email or using the contact information provided on the CSD website, http://www.stallionspringscsd.com. If you wish to make an appointment to speak with an officer, contact the CSD at (661) 822-3268. Appointments maybe canceled at any time due to limited police staffing.

Message from the General Manager
SLOW DOWN! What's with all of the speeding and erratic driving? If you have recently moved here I know it's hard to adapt to the slower lifestyle, the wildlife and the kids at play, but isn't that why we all moved here in the first place? We are all asking that you please slow down and stop for wildlife, bus traffic and our kids in the community. Stallion Springs Board of Directors
The Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. normally in the CSD Boardroom or at the Community Center subject to Covid restrictions. The next meeting will be held on Nov. 16.
