A fun and exciting event for the whole family! Local comic creator Saida Woolf has teamed up with the Tehachapi Museum for her first ever Tehachapi book signing.

On Saturday, Nov. 6, from noon to 4 p.m. on the front porch of the historic Errea House at 311 S. Green St. in downtown Tehachapi, Woolf will be signing copies of her newly released graphic novel, "Soulstream."

Books will be available for purchase for $16, tax included. A portion of each sale will benefit the Tehachapi Museum. Please come out to support a local artist and author, as well as our hometown museum. This is a great opportunity to buy early for the holidays. Saida will sign and personalize each book at no additional cost.

There will also be some specially discounted "hometown bundles" available for purchase, so be sure to stop by.

If you can't make it for the book signing but still wish to purchase a copy of "Soulstream," the Tehachapi Museum gift shop will carry signed copies of the book through the end of December. Call ahead for hours of operation, (661) 822-8152.

Raised in Tehachapi and a 2021 Valley Oaks Charter School graduate, Saida Woolf is indie publisher Scout Comic's youngest creator. "Soulstream" is published by Scout's all-ages imprint, Scoot, and is being distributed to comic shops and bookstores worldwide.

Woolf has been on a book tour, appearing as a special guest at Awesomecon in Washington, D.C. and the Bakersfield Mini-Con, and is scheduled to appear at Bakersfield Comic-Con, Los Angeles Comic-Con, Comic-Con Revolution in Ontario, and Wondercon.

"Soulstream" is a magical fantasy adventure story that has been described as "Narnia meets Miraculous Ladybug and Sailor Moon."
